M.D.L. MEF Series Metallized Polyester Film Capacitors, Non-Inductive

The M.D.L.  MEF Series uses the same metallized polyester film, OFC copper leads and basic manufacturing process as the MET Series.

After winding, the capacitor is flattened to form an axial flat oval profile. Its lower body height provides greater installation flexibility for audio crossover networks and electronic equipment with limited space.

Special Note: We use OFC oxygen-free copper leads. Low-end MEF capacitors on the market typically use aluminum or iron leads. All M.D.L. capacitors sold by our company use OFC oxygen-free copper leads. You can distinguish genuine products from counterfeit ones by scratching off the plating on the leads or using a magnet.

 

M.D.L. MEF Series Metallized Polyester Film Capacitors

  • The MEF and MET Series share the same materials, winding construction and fundamental electrical characteristics. Their main difference is the final body shape: the MET maintains a round tubular profile, while the MEF is flattened after winding to create a flat oval body.

    The flattening process reduces body height and provides a different use of installation space. The MEF is not positioned as a higher-grade or upgraded version of the MET. Customers can select the appropriate series according to crossover-board space, body-height restrictions and wiring layout.

    Leads extend from opposite ends of the MEF body, making it particularly suitable for loudspeaker crossovers, car audio and horizontally mounted audio circuits.
