M.D.L. The NP Non-Polar / BP Bi-Polar Series RADIAL Type E-Caps are non-polarized / bi-polar aluminum electrolytic capacitors specially designed for audio and loudspeaker applications.
Featuring an radial lead configuration, these capacitors are suitable for speaker crossover networks, audio filtering, signal coupling, and other AC signal applications where voltage polarity may periodically reverse.

The NP Non-Polar / BP Bi-Polar Series is manufactured using aluminum foil, electrolytic paper, electrolyte, and other selected materials, and is designed specifically for audio and AC signal applications.
Unlike conventional polarized aluminum electrolytic capacitors, NP/BP capacitors feature a non-polar / bi-polar construction, allowing them to be used with AC signals and circuits where voltage polarity periodically reverses. This makes them particularly suitable for loudspeaker crossover and other audio applications.
The radial lead configuration features both leads extending from the same end of the capacitor, allowing convenient PCB mounting and efficient use of board space. The compact vertical construction is suitable for both manual assembly and automated PCB production.
The series is designed for a wide range of loudspeaker and audio equipment applications. It can be used as a filtering component in high-frequency, mid-frequency, and low-frequency crossover circuits, as well as for audio coupling, filtering, and other AC signal applications.

For audio applications, a lower Dissipation Factor (DF) generally indicates lower capacitor losses and better AC performance.
M.D.L. offers different DF levels, allowing customers to select the appropriate balance between performance, size and cost according to their application requirements.
Lower DF → Lower Loss → May Require Larger Size / Higher Cost
A lower DF specification may require a larger capacitor construction, resulting in a larger physical size and higher cost.
